The Benefits of Online Video Therapy
As Effective as Online Therapy
Numerous studies show that online video therapy works as well as in-person therapy. Clients are often surprised to discover how well it works and how much they enjoy it. Please see some of the links to research studies below at the bottom of this page.
Secure and Private
We use secure online video software that ensures our services are 100% private and confidential. It is HIPPA compliant, which means it meets the requirements for telemedicine services in Washington State.
Convenience and Comfort
You can attend sessions from the comfort of your home or office.
And, you won’t have to worry about running into other people in our waiting room.
You can book your video-conferences session when it fits your schedule. Our software is easy to use – all you have to do is log on at the time of your appointment.
Save Time and Reduce Stress
Your time is precious. In addition to work, there are many tasks that you have to carry out in your busy life. You can save time by avoiding traveling to our therapy office. And, as an added bonus, you won’t have to deal with traffic!
Save Money on Travel Costs
Keep a few extra dollars in your pocket by saving the money you’d otherwise spend on transportation and parking if you attended in-office sessions.
Easy Access for Those Living in Rural Areas of Washington State
Our therapists are licensed to treat anyone for therapy in the state of Washington. Whether you live in a city or a remote area, you’ll be able to have access to one of our professionals.
Also, if you live in a small community, you won’t have to worry that you’ll run into the professional you’re seeing at the grocery store, at your children’s sports events, or anywhere!
Ideal if You Have Health or Mobility Issues
It can be stressful, if not impossible, to get to a professional’s office if you have a serious health condition or disability that makes it difficult to travel.
Attend Sessions When Traveling
If you’re currently struggling and have to be away from home but are still within the state, you won’t have to worry about losing momentum in our work. You can book sessions from where ever you are within the state of Washington.
Most Insurance Companies Cover Online Video Therapy
Most healthcare plans provide coverage for telehealth (phone or video) sessions just as they do for in-office therapy.
Even if you think you don’t have coverage for online therapy or can’t afford the sessions, please give us a call. We continue to get updates from insurance plans that are expanding telehealth benefits as our culture adapts to the developing needs.
Online Therapy is Here to Stay
Now that we’re set up to provide online sessions, and our clients are comfortable with the technology, we’ll continue to offer online therapy as an option to in-person sessions when the pandemic is over.
How Online Video Therapy Works
You can call, text, or email us to book your appointment for online sessions the same as you would if you were doing in-person sessions.
You can use your computer, tablet, or smartphone to access our secure, HIPPA compliant video platform.
You’ll need to make sure that you’re in a private and quiet place so that others can’t hear you and there aren’t any distractions (e.g., phones ringing, dogs barking, etc.).
If you can’t find a private place at home, you might want to participate in your session while on a walk, from your car, or in your backyard.
As you can see, there are many benefits to online therapy.
If you’re concerned about whether video or phone therapy can work for you, contact us to book a brief, 5-minute sample meeting.
One of our staff will show you how easy our secure video platform is to use.

The American Psychiatric Association (APA) published a physician reviewed article that notes the following:
“There is substantial evidence of the effectiveness of telepsychiatry, and research has found satisfaction to be high among patients, psychiatrists and other professionals. Telepsychiatry is equivalent to in-person care in diagnostic accuracy, treatment effectiveness, quality of care and patient satisfaction. Patient privacy and confidentiality are equivalent to in-person care.” APA: What is Telepsychiatry?
According to an article in the World Journal of Psychiatry:
“Telepsychiatry is comparable to face-to-face services in terms of reliability of clinical assessments and treatment outcomes . . . telepsychiatry performed as well as, if not better than face-to-face delivery of mental health services.” PMC: Review of key telepsychiatry outcomes
