How I Got Here
I have always been drawn to people’s stories. The experiences that shape us, the resilience we carry through hard seasons, and the quiet struggles that often go unseen. What moves me most is that moment when someone finally feels heard without judgment — because I know how rare and how powerful that can be.
That curiosity about the human experience is what led me into nursing, and eventually into psychiatry.
My journey began at the bedside as a registered nurse. I learned quickly that healing is rarely just physical. After working in a progressive care unit, I transitioned into an inpatient psychiatric hospital — where I worked directly with individuals navigating some of the most difficult and complex mental health challenges a person can face. I saw how profoundly mental health touches every part of a person’s life — relationships, work, self-worth, and the ability to simply feel like yourself again. And I saw, over and over, how transformative the right care could be in helping someone find their footing again.
Those experiences shaped everything about how I practice today. They inspired me to become a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) — specializing in ADHD medication management Sammamish adults and families rely on, along with care for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and more — so I could meet more people where they are, and walk alongside them toward something better.
How I Help — Compassionate Medication Management in Sammamish for ADHD, Anxiety, Depression & More
If you’ve ever worried that seeing a psychiatric provider just means walking away with a prescription and not much else — I want you to know that is not how I work.
You are more than a diagnosis. And your care should reflect that.
I believe psychiatric care works best when it feels like a real partnership. That means I take time to listen carefully, conduct thorough assessments, and build a treatment plan that fits your actual life — not a textbook version of it. Every person who comes to see me brings a different story, different strengths, and different needs. My job is to understand yours.
I also believe that everyone deserves to feel safe and respected in the room — including clients from LGBTQIA+ communities, BIPOC communities, and anyone who has felt unseen or dismissed in a medical setting before. You will not have to explain yourself here. You will be met with openness, without judgment.
Medication can be a meaningful part of healing for many people. For others, therapy and counseling may be equally or even more important. Often the most lasting progress comes from combining both. As part of the Centered Mind Counseling Services (CMCS) team, I work alongside our therapists, psychologists, and counselors so your care stays coordinated and nothing falls through the cracks.

Our providers communicate directly with one another, so you never have to coordinate it yourself or repeat your story from scratch.

Whether you need ADHD medication management Sammamish providers offer or support for any other mental health concern, at CMCS that kind of coordinated care is simply how we operate — not something you have to seek out on your own.

Why I Do This Work
Mental health care can genuinely change the trajectory of a person’s life. I have seen it happen — people who regain stability, reconnect with the ones they love, and rediscover who they are after some of the hardest seasons imaginable.
Being trusted with someone’s mental health is something I hold with deep care every single day. It means showing up with compassion, practicing with integrity, and never losing sight of the person in front of me — because that is who this work is really for.

On a Personal Note
Outside of the office, I love staying active and spending time outdoors. You will often find me on the soccer field with friends or in a local adult league, traveling somewhere new, or hunting down great food from cuisines around the world. I also speak Swahili, which connects me to my roots and to clients who share that language. At home, my two dogs Arlo and Yumi make sure there is never a dull moment.
