Joy Udeuhi, ARNP, PMHNP-BC — Child Adolescent & Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Serving Clients in Sammamish and via Telehealth across Washington State
My Journey into Mental Health Care
I’ve always been deeply drawn to work that centers on healing, connection, and advocacy. My path to becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner was shaped by a desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, particularly in the mental health space, where compassion, trust, and presence are so essential.
How I Help
My treatment philosophy is rooted in compassionate care, advocacy, and a holistic approach that honors the full complexity of each person I serve. I strive to create a safe, welcoming therapeutic space where clients feel respected, understood, and empowered to take an active role in their healing. I believe that strong therapeutic relationships are built on trust, empathy, and mutual respect. I walk alongside my clients on their mental health journeys, meeting them where they are and supporting them every step of the way. My approach is patient-centered and focused not only on managing symptoms but also on nurturing the mind, body, and spirit while recognizing the deep interconnectedness of all ramifications of a person’s life. I am committed to evidence-based and trauma-informed care, and I practice with cultural humility, always honoring each client’s unique story, identity, and background. I also value collaboration, working closely with clients and their healthcare teams and support systems, to deliver coordinated and effective care. And yes, I believe healing can include a sense of lightness and connection, so I am not afraid to bring in a bit of humor when it feels appropriate.
Who I Help
I provide care across the lifespan, working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. My diverse clinical background allows me to support clients through a wide range of mental health challenges and life transitions. Regardless of age or diagnosis, I approach each individual with the same dedication to empathy, partnership, and whole-person care.
On a Personal Note
When I am not working, I enjoy gardening, singing, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends. These parts of my life ground me and remind me of the joy and beauty in everyday moments, something I try to carry into my work as well.
