About Wendy
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Sammamish, Washington

“One day I had to sit down with myself and decide that I loved myself no matter what my body looked like and what other people thought about my body. I got tired of hating myself.” ~Gabourey Sidibe

There is nothing more important than loving yourself and accepting mother nature’s plan for you. Learning to embrace what’s unique about you and having a healthy loving relationship with food and body is not always easy. I would love to help make this journey of self-love become realistic, fun, and obtainable.

I have my undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and my Masters degree in Nutrition from Bastyr University.   While receiving my Masters, I also mentored under Joy Bauer, the Today show’s Registered Dietitian. In addition to my formalized education, I’ve acquired a wealth of experience working with a wide range of ethnically diverse clientele in both clinical and community settings.

I’ve had the honor of being the official dietitian for the professional WNBA’s Seattle Storm team for three years and the opportunity to work with the NWSL Seattle Reign professional soccer team. I’ve also had the pleasure of working with the Washington Youth Soccer league, Bellevue Club’s swim team, Sammamish Rowing Association and local high schools, which I continue to enjoy.

As much as I love working with athletes and teams I equally enjoy working with children, adolescents and families. I incorporate a variety of philosophies into my nutritional counseling with Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size being key parts of my ongoing practice. I work with clientele on topics ranging from disordered eating to various disease states. I’m very passionate about helping clients improve their relationship with food and working with them to love and respect their bodies.

On a personal note, I’m married with three kiddos of my own. I absolutely love being a mom and spending time as a family. Having kids helps me understand the struggles around food that other parents may be experiencing, I’m able to truly relate and work with families to make food less of a challenge. When my family isn’t gathered around food we are usually enjoying the outdoors with our dogs or running around having fun with friends.
