My Winding Path
From a young age, I knew I wanted to help people. I was raised to believe that the best way to accomplish this was by becoming a medical doctor. When I graduated from Chapman University with a Bachelor’s in Health Science and a Pre-Med emphasis, I had gained a deeper understanding of the harsh realities of our current medical model and the significant influence of the pharmaceutical industry on healthcare practices. During my studies, I developed a growing fascination with the mind-body connection, particularly after taking a physiological psychology class. This course opened my eyes to the vast gap in our understanding of the link between mental and physical health.
I faced a difficult decision—and an even harder conversation with my parents—when I realized that traditional medicine was not the path through which I wanted to make a lasting impact.
For the next two years after college, I lived in Los Angeles, exploring myself and the world in search of a way to fulfill my purpose in alignment with my values. I pursued everything that interested me: acting, modeling, video production, social media, and yoga teaching. Though these experiences seemed unrelated at the time, they ultimately led me to discover my true calling—becoming a therapist.
My Theory of Change
My passion for connecting with myself and others through storytelling and movement led me to study Couples and Family Therapy. How we interact with others and navigate our lives directly impacts our well-being. With my background in health, I take a holistic approach to healing, using a biopsychosocial-spiritual lens to address both challenges and growth. As a yoga instructor, I incorporate mindfulness-based practices as a tool for self-discovery and deeper connection.
I believe healing is multilayered. The psychological processing of trauma, emotions, and experiences is just as crucial as the physiological and spiritual aspects of healing, which are often overlooked. I use somatic sensory techniques and neuroscience principles to help release stored emotions and unlock energetic blockages that contribute to mental and physical imbalances. These imbalances can manifest as dysfunction, pain, and poor health outcomes.
I also believe interpersonal relationships serve as reflections and catalysts for personal growth. How we navigate conflict, communicate our thoughts and feelings, and show up in our relationships directly influences our connection to ourselves. My goal is always to guide clients toward loving connection—with both themselves and others—because authentic, genuine connection has the power to heal beyond measure.
I view myself as a lifelong student, constantly reading and researching to develop both personally and professionally so that I can better serve my clients and community. I am deeply grateful for the trust my clients place in me, and I honor their courage and vulnerability in taking steps toward healing and growth. For this reason, safety and respect are my top priorities. I approach therapy with curiosity and compassion, believing that my greatest influence comes from showing up authentically—an openness that invites others to do the same.

On a Personal Note…
The most transformative experiences in my life have come from traveling abroad and immersing myself in different communities and cultures. I began traveling internationally at 16, and my experiences in other countries have shaped my worldview, showing me that there are infinite ways of thinking, believing, and being.
In my free time, I teach yoga and enjoy moving my body in any way I can. While living in Los Angeles, I performed semi-professionally in circus arts and dance. At my core, I am an artist, and movement has been my most profound form of self-expression. It allows me to connect in ways words cannot fully capture. Being part of the movement community has been one of the greatest blessings in my life.
